PBB boys hula hoop for Angelo’s scholarship

PBB boys hula hoop for Angelo’s scholarship

It was just after Mothers’ Day when Kuya invited Nanay Inday and Nanay Lynn, mothers of Angelo and Devon respectively, to show a sampling of how much mothers would do for the sake of their children. The two were asked to serve as helpers inside the PBB house for an entire week, and with college scholarships at stake, they both agreed. At the end of the week, Kuya called Nanay Inday into the Confession Room and commended her on a job well done. Indeed, having to restrain herself from hugging the son she had not seen in two years was surely heart-wrenching, but it had to be done. In fact, Nanay Lynn’s body could not bear the strain of being so near Devon that her blood pressure shot up and she had to be brought to the hospital for observation. Nanay Inday, who chose to finish the task on her lonesome, was gifted with P 10,000 in cash for a week’s work along with grateful words from Kuya himself.
There was another part to the deal, though. To secure a college scholarship for Angelo, her identity was to be kept secret. Unfortunately, the Villa boys were too perceptive, and guessed the truth. Normally, that would throw Nanay Inday’s efforts out the window, but the boys from both houses pleaded with Kuya to be given the chance to salvage the situation. In exchange for Angelo’s college scholarship, the boys of both houses had to sustain a twirling hula hoop for 24 hours straight. The Apartment boys took charge of the first 12 hours, while the Villa boys wrapped it up with the last 12. It took a lot of teamwork, communication, perseverance and brotherhood, but in the end, they were able to complete the task.

Finally, Nanay Inday’s efforts inside the house came to an end and she was ushered out of the Apartment with hugs and thanks. Before she left, though, Kuya granted her one last wish: 100 seconds with Angelo. The moment mother and son laid eyes on each other, tears gushed out and they locked each other in a tight embrace. Nanay Inday made the most of their time as words of concern and maternal advice streamed out of her. Angelo just kept nodding and assuring her that all would be well, keeping her close the entire time.

Later, Kuya called the boys in to reveal all to Angelo. He proudly held up his college scholarship granted by Nanay Inday’s sacrifices, the housemates’ efforts and STI. Grateful, he looks forward to a time when he could return the favor. Joe probably said it best when he said that all that was needed was for Angelo to do his best and not throw the opportunity away.

Will Angelo be able to get another week inside the house, or will his college scholarship be the last big prize he gets? Will his relations with the rest of the housemates improve, at least? Keep watching and stay updated with the goings-on in PBB Teen Clash of 2010, now in new timeslots!
